Leader Weekend in Salcombe, Devon, August 2002

Leader Camp!

Leader sailors took over the top field at Higher Rew Campsite, Combe, Devon. Boats were left down at the beach at South Sands.

Sunday's cruise was up to Kingsbridge, via Salcombe Harbour & Kingsbridge Estuary.

Slowly but surely!

Light airs (none existent at times!), meant very slow progress! But a beautiful blue sky and warm sun meant that this was no chore!!!

National Champions 2002 - Chris and Jane Wharmby; CONGRATULATIONS!

1st Place - Chris and Jane Wharmby from Milton Keynes SC

2nd Place - Roger Kenchinton & Chris Davies from Porchester SC

4th Place this time - Mike and Tom Sherwen, last years National Champions

5th Place - Chris Cook & John Reading; first time at the Nationals, well done lads!

Furthest Travelled (Trevor Widnall) Trophy went to Mike & Tom Sherwen from Deben YC

This years Bossy Phelps Endurance trophy was won by Jon Armitage; good to see you back Jon!

The Junior Crew Carousell Trophy went to Tom Sherwen
